Analyse Local’s Council Tax Finder service is now almost four years old. Launched as a new service during the pandemic, our Maximise Domestic service has gone from strength to strength, with more and more Local Authorities working with us in this capacity than ever before.
The Maximise Domestic service works in a similar way to our Maximise Business service, where a specialist team of Rating Researchers work behind the scenes to identify missing or undervalued assessments in the Council Tax List, in turn helping to maximise the Council Tax income for Local Authorities.
With continuing budget pressures and even more emphasis on the importance of Council Tax in Local Authority funding, our Maximise Domestic service brings a unique and tailored approach to help Local Authorities across the country.
What makes our service stand out are the tailored, personable working relationships we forge with our clients and our commitment to accuracy in all areas of our research. Once historic discrepancies have been identified, your dedicated Rating Researcher will then collate all necessary information into a structured report, fully compliant with the VOA BAR Submission Standards, which can then be referred directly to the VOA.
Over the course of the last four years, our Property Assessment Reports have helped to reduce turnaround times for Council Tax discrepancies being reported to the VOA, allowing Local Authorities to refer cases with confidence and without the need to conduct a physical site visit in many instances. This has helped to minimise any additional work for our clients so they can focus on other, equally important tasks in their local area.
The last four years have been highly successful for Maximise Domestic service and our team have had an equally promising start to 2024, despite the busy period with the 2017 Rating List coming to a close. Our Maximise Domestic team have successfully referred over 1,300 separate discrepancies since the services inception, and the targets for the first quarter of 2024 have been surpassed with over 60 new Council Tax discrepancies referred to client councils during this time.
Our Maximise Domestic achievements are something we are extremely proud of and we are determined to continue to grow this area of the business.
